Founded in the mid 1970’s by two Ham Radio entrepreneurs “Advanced Electronic Applications” designed and manufactured creative, advanced equipment and antennas for the amateur radio market. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s it was a respected leader in this market. In the 1990’s AEA underwent a change in name to AEA Wireless, Inc. and in ownership moving from Lynnwood, WA, to southern CA. In 2001, AEA Wireless was purchased by the current owner, CEO and President, George Naber. George redirected the company away from the fading Ham market to concentrate on the commercial RF and cable testing markets. The new AEA, now AEA Technology, Inc., still supports a loyal Ham following, but is quickly being recognized for providing high-quality, rugged, portable RF and cable testing solutions.

AEA Technology products provide test solutions to a variety industries and applications where impedance analysis and accuracy are important. The VIA Bravo and Echo MRI products and their associated PC VisionTM Software are customizable product lines utilized in the Magnetic Resonance Imagery (NMR & MRI) industries to tune and calibrate multi-channeled phase arrayed coils. The semiconductor industry has adopted the VIA Bravo product to service and calibrate coils for ion implantation systems using radio frequency linear accelerator technology. The Telco and CATV service providers use our 20/20 TDR to maintain outside plant and premise cabling. They are also used in applications from satellite manufacturing to the neutrino antenna array at the South Pole. The aviation, commercial, military, and two-way radio markets utilize the AEA products to tune and service antennas and test cable systems throughout the world.
